Tyree A.M.E. Church acquired its 501c3 status in March 2014.  Tyree is known for helping those in need.  Tyree Church has adopted Gloria's Shelter, a part of the People's Emergency Center. It has provided clothing for 57 resident children, as well as gifts during the Christmas holiday.  Tyree Church conducts "Back to School Campaigns " to give the young Gloria Shelter residents school supplies.  The church also conducts an outreach program to provide food and clothing to homeless men, women, and children from shelters throughout the community.
